Tahoe Truckee Excellence in Education Foundation

Building an Endowment Fund has been a priority of the Foundation since its inception. In 1990, Excellence in Education board members made a commitment to set aside a portion of annual fundraising revenues to grow an Endowment to $1.5 million.

The Endowment will stabilize the organization and provide interest towards future grants-giving.

Under the leadership of President Scott Ryan, the Endowment House was built at Northstar, largely with the donation of materials, labor and money, realizing over $600,000 to the Endowment.

Despite the vagaries of the economic climate, the Foundation is pleased to announce that in 2005 the $1.5 million goal was met! Excellence in Education will continue to grow its Endowment in addition to gifting money from the Endowment's interest back into our educational community.
