November, 1995 Mario Teaches Typing is a software program which provides both English proficient students and English Learners accses to work processing in a fun yet progressive manner by challenging them in a way which appeals to their need for fun. Thirty copies of this software will be purchased.

Grant Date:
November, 1994 Bilingual Writing Center software and Mario Teaches Typing will be purchased with the funds from this grant. This provides both fluent English proficient students and English Learners acces to word processing in the primary language of the home. Students will be able to create and publish writings, books, newspapers and reports in both English and Spanish.

Grant Date:
April, 2001 Weekly books for disadvantaged students to take home for daily reading. Books are returned weekly. We funded grades 1 and 2 in the fall of 2000. Wanted to continue with grades 3-5. Program seems successful.
