Leveled Reading Materials, Nutrition and Cultural Diversity

Nutrition education is presented in a way that exposes students to the many cultures and eating habits in the world. "Everybody Cooks Rice" is a creative way to use literature to teach about nutrition and multi-cultural topics. The book tells about the use of rice in Vietnam, Puerto Rico, India and other countries. In addition this teacher has requested leveled reading materials since she is a new teacher and does nogt have sufficient reading materials in her classroom to meet all reading abilities.
