Grant request is to replace the Truckee High kiln, which is no longer working, and to acquire a slab roller so students can produce murals for the walls.

Grant request is to provide spiral bound copies of the Donnie Dirt play to other school sites in the TTUSD. Having professionally bound scripts will provide a longer shelf life. The Donnie Dirt play meets the standards for Visual and Performing Arts for students kindergarten through sixth grade.

Grant request is for musical instruments for kindergarten class. This project provides kindergartners with the opportunity to make music and make it a part of their lives. Research shows that it is a key component in our children?s academic and social lives.

Grant is requesting an auxiliary amplifier to enhance the sound quality for any musical production of the T. E. stage, including grade level performance or community events.

Grant is to fund music stands. Music stands are necessary for a top quality performance of the reader?s theater productions. The stands hold the script in place and lend an air of ?importance? to the performers and audience.

Music for Curriculum Enhancement. Grant for music equipment to enhance PE curriculum for K-6 grades, consisting of a dual cassette player/recorder CD player, wireless microphone and various styles of music (CD?s & tapes) for different ages.

Singing and Acting Out the Core Curriculum. To purchase 28 musical plays and costumes, grades K-5, in order to enrich and enhance the core curriculum subjects being taught.

To purchase supplemental materials for the Choral Music Program at NTMS.

To purchase karaoke machines and CDs as a part of the language arts class curriculum. ?Karaoke Club? offers an opportunity to practice repeated reading through music and written lyrics.
