Two multi-media instructional units: The Great Solar System Rescue and The Great Ocean Rescue will be purchased and kept in the library to be used as part of the fith-grade science curriculum. Both programs consist of vidoedisk, software, student "expert" books, and a teacher guide. - $914

Fourth grade students will experience "Living History" at a local campground, recreating and enacting daily life activities of California settlers in the mid-1800's. The intent is to enhance study of California history by integrating visual and perfoming arts, geology, gold panning and messurment. - $430

These funds will continue to assist The Laker school newspaper. A variety of journalism equipment will be purchased to help develop independence for the school newspaper, as they are currently reliant on outside assistence to publish the paper. - $1570

This project involves th purchase of a Life Lab Science garden. The garden is an innovative, hands on, "Living Laboratory" approach to elementary science education.
