Provide EL support and academic enrichment for elementary and high school students.

Methods of Implementation: 

The program can be used in the classroom and at home.  The licenses can be used and reused multiple times as students complete the lessons.

Measures of success or achievement: 

Rosetta Stone software has its own tracking and measurement system built-in.  Teachers can monitor students' progess and completion rates. 

Grant Description: 

This grant application also applies to Cold Stream Alternative.  We are requesting funding for $5,450.00 to purchase fifty licenses from Rosetta Stone.  We have all used Rosetta Stone in the past for ELD support and for academic enrichment for students taking foreign language at Sierra College and for elective credits.  The five schools would share the fifty licenses.  The technology is already in place at the sites to support Rosetta Stone.  We greatly appreciate your consideration in funding this request.

How does this grant tie into your PLC: 

The ELD PLC's at the high schools and at KBE will determine which students will benefit from the English language support provided through Rosetta Stone.
