Description

The objective of this grant is to provide computer mice for all students grades 3-5 to aid in the control of their Chomebook during state testing time. Currently students using the trackpad, which can be challenging for students. We want to give our students at TES the best opportunity for showing their skills and knowledge of the assessments.

Benefits of Program

The benefits of this grant will be a potential increase on CAASP state test results, with students becoming more proficient with their computer skills and application of their knowledge. 

Success of Program

The success of this grant will be measured by student feedback of computer mice use, as well as, the overall computer skills demonstrated by the students while taking the CAASP. Student and teacher surveys will be used. 

Implementation

If funded, all teachers will be issued a class set of computer mice. The teachers will training the students to use the mice through classroom projects and assignments to gain comfort with these tools prior to the testing window.

This grant is written for all students grade third through fifth. 

Sustainability
This is a one time purchase and any replacement mice, if needed, will be purchased through school site Measure A technology funds. These mice will be used form year to year.
