Description (10 points)

The objective of the desktop carrels is to provide privacy to students during assessments, or any time a student needs less distractions. The carrels are large enough to cover a standard desk and Chromebook. Many of our classrooms are designed for group work, but there are times when individual learning is needed. The desktop carrels will provide the necessary privacy when needed.

Benefits of Program (20 points)

Distractions can be a stumbling block for students. Desktop carrels can provide students with the individual, semi-enclosed environment necessary to focus on learning especially in a crowded classroom.

Success of Program (20 points)

Success will be achieved if students use the desktop carrels for the intended purpose: privacy for assessments, focus needs, separation on tables, etc.

Implementation (20 points)

We are requesting 180 desktop carrels, 60 per grade level. Each grade level will distribute the carrels however best suites the needs of the students and teachers.

Sustainability (10 points)
With care, the desktop carrels should last about 10 years. They are made of cardboard so will get worn out with time. Additional funding should not be needed in the near future.
