2009 - 2010 Skiing for Schools Dates

On selected days, the participating resorts are offering skiers and snowboarders special discounted lift tickets and the opportunity to support education. The proceeds from your lift ticket purchase go directly to the Excellence in Education Foundation, which provides enhanced educational opportunities for our local students.

Sugar Bowl- Saturday, December 19 - $25 lift tickets available the week prior at Porters Sports - Thank you, Sugar Bowl!

Northstar-at-Tahoe - Sunday, January 3 - $25 lift tickets available the week prior at Porters Sports. Thank you, Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort!

Royal Gorge - Saturday and Sunday, January 9 & 10 - $15 trail pass available the week prior at Porters Sports. Thank you, Royal Gorge!

Boreal Mountain Resort - Sunday, January 24 - $25 lift tickets available the week prior at Porters Sports. Thank you, Boreal!

Sugar Bowl- Saturday, March 20 - $25 lift tickets available the week prior at Porters Sports in Truckee and Tahoe City.

Homewood Community Benefit Day * - Sunday, March 21 - This date is a "Community Benefit Day" and discounted lift tickets will be available at Homewood ticket booths this day. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Excellence in Education Foundation. Call 530.525.2992 for details.

Squaw Valley USA- Sunday, April 11 - $25 lift tickets available the week prior at Porters Sports in Truckee and Tahoe City.

Alpine Meadows Community Benefit Day * - Sunday, April 18 - This date is a "Community Benefit Day" and discounted lift tickets will be available at Alpine ticket booths this day. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Excellence in Education Foundation. Call 530.583.4232 for details.

Purchase tickets in advance at all Porters Sports locations (Truckee and Tahoe City) for the Skiing for Schools dates (not Community Benefit Dates). A limited supply of tickets are sold on a first come, first served basis and will not be available at the resorts the day of the event. Check and cash are preferred form of payment at Porters. Tickets are not refundable. Thank you for your generous donation and for skiing for schools!
