Excellence in Education Foundation earned the Silver Star for the Partner in Excellence Award from the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) Region 2. ACSA, the largest umbrella organization for school leaders in the United States, annually recognizes outstanding administrators and partners for “their leadership skills, professionalism, creativity, innovation, and commitment to a quality education.”
This award is the second round of recognition for the Foundation. In January, Excellence in Education was named the ACSA 2019 Placer County Partner in Excellence Award. TTUSD is part of ACSA’s Region 2 which represents educational leaders from 10 counties: Placer County, El Dorado County, Nevada County, Sierra County, Plumas County, Butte County, Yuba County, Sutter County, Colusa County, and Glenn County.
Additionally, Alder Creek Middle School principal, Hien Larson, was named ACSA’s 2019 Region 2 and Placer County Middle School Principal of the Year and Tahoe Lake Elementary School's Stephanie Foucek won the Silver Star Award and was named ACSA's 2019 Placer County Elementary Principal of the Year.
