Description

Students and teachers will be able to display any monitor, iPad, iPhone or iTouch to the flat screen TV in the library so the learning experience is streamlined. 

The NTHS/NTS Library Connect Up configuration will be used as prototype of presentation for other learning environments. 

Success of Program

1.      Is the equipment installed?

2.      Can a class and teacher use the lab seamlessly connect and display any mirrored hardware?

Implementation
  • Mount TV, install Apple TV
  • Create network login and password
  • Train teachers and students how to display their device
  • Use everyday

 

Can you share this grant with your grade level or subject team?

This grant will benefit all PLCs on site. The ability to display and interact with the technology in the library is essential to the learning process that goes on daily. Examples of benefits include:

·         Math teachers will be able to display student work when using Khan Academy on computers or ipads.

·         History teachers can display and teach primary source materials from the Library of Congress.

·         Science teachers may model the Venier Vector app prior to student usage.

·         Language Arts and English teachers may display student work to teach a concept, interact and critique literary or digiatal curricular content.

·         The librarian will teach students to evaluate and analyze information, and  to determine the approprateness of sources.
