Description

The objectives of this program are:

  • to outfit classrooms with the same quality of projectors and sound amplification technology,
  • to improve speech intelligibility for all students and evenly distribute sound throughout all classrooms, and
  • to improve the quality of ergonomic seating for all computers in the Computer Lab.
Success of Program

The success of this program will be measured by the number of classrooms with up to date equipment that enables teachers and students to project on a screen using multiiple devices, to evenly distribute sound throughout the classroom, and by having basic furniture needs.

Implementation

The initial step of implementing this grant will be to purchase the Red CAT systems and the Epson Projectors through our regional representatives, and I will purchase the chairs online. Once we receive the technology and furniture, the District Office will supply asset tags for the technology; linked to the devices serial numbers. Once the new technology is accounted for, I will help teachers set up the equipment in their classrooms, and I will replace the broken chairs in the Computer Lab with the new chairs. After the equipment is set up, I will show teachers how to maintain the equipment.

Can you share this grant with your grade level or subject team?

This grant will tie into grade level PLCs by providing teachers with the same tools in their classrooms, so that they can plan units using the same technological devices and programs or applications that can be used with these devices. In addition, all students will have the same quality of chairs in the computer lab.
