Description
Increase students ability to read and write at grade level and beyond through the use of dictionaries to support accuracy and depth of understanding.
Success of Program
Increase in student's vocabulary and knowledge of conventions of standard English.
Implementation
Dictionaries will be used in the classroom as part of whole class instruction and in centers. Students are also given dictionaries to take home each year by our Tahoe City Rotary, so the work we do with dictionaries in class will help students effectively use their dictionaries at home.

Yes, 3rd grade teachers will collaborate around the use of dictionaries.
